Düsseldorf, Germany – March 6, 2024 – The 13th BIO.NRW Business Angel Congress (BAC) once again proved to be a significant platform for investors, entrepreneurs, and experts from the biotechnology sector. With over 100 participants, the congress provided a rich discussion forum on the latest developments, trends, and financing opportunities in biotechnology, particularly tailored for startups and SMEs.
A prominent topic was bureaucracy and its effects on business startups and investment strategies. Despite existing obstacles, it was emphasized that these do not hinder the establishment of new companies. Case studies highlighted significant issues in terms of regulatory inspections and the issuance of GMP certificates. These and other challenges were brought to the attention of government representatives during the congress. Additionally, Dr. Susanne Perker, mediation expert and lawyer, addressed conflict resolution. Her expertise emphasized the importance of managing conflicts in entrepreneurship, earning widespread acclaim.
Dr. Bernward Garthoff, Managing Director of BIO Clustermanagement NRW GmbH, expressed his delight at the success of the congress and emphasized North Rhine- Westphalia’s leading role in Biotechnology.
The high number of participants at the congress underscores the growth and potential of the biotechnology sector in North Rhine-Westphalia. The next edition of the congress is scheduled for March 11, 2025.
